Turnkey Solutions

More and more, we are becoming an extension of our customer’s facilities. Many of our customers have found that we can take their tools from start to finish, providing faster service and quality results. You make money making parts. We won't hand our process off to you until it is ready to do that from day one.

Our turnkey solutions concept is simple. We become involved in our customer’s process from the very beginning, providing such services as product design and development, mold manufacturing, full validation and low volume production, as required.

Extreme Tool and Engineering supplies fully validated and debugged tools and systems. We accept responsibility for all tool tweaking to meet customer requirements when requested. We’ll mold the initial samples, pilot production, and complete FAIRs, CPK runs and PPAPs in our facility, using your format or our's. We’ll also build the end-of-arm tooling and inspection fixtures required and complete a rigorous mold tryout and process development.

Molding Services

Our molding area demonstrates our commitment to technology, equipment, and industry best practices. We are one of a handful of RJG Certified Mold Build and Tryout Facilities. Our molding manager is RJG Certified MMIIII, and many of our designers and engineers have been through systematic molding and other courses at RJG.

Our services include mold trials, capability studies, process development, horn and fixture development (sonic welding), and EOAT tooling design, manufacture and development. Since we are not a production molder, we can provide these capabilities at very short notice. Many customers find it easier to complete these tasks with us, rather than at their own facilities (you don’t make $$$ sampling!). Your in-house start-up goes faster and smoother when we complete these tasks before the mold ships. We can also fill the pipeline with parts before we ship the mold, limiting the pressure and risk of the mold transfer process. You are welcome to attend any and all samplings at our comfortable facility, as is your customer.

Equipment includes 400- and 110-ton electric molding machines with servo robots, a 150 hydraulic with robot, as well as 28- and 80-ton presses. Our class 100,000 clean room enclosure is available for medical or other clean room sampling of bridge production needs. We have a full complement of auxiliary equipment for material handling and drying capability, along with thermolators and hot oil controllers for high-temperature applications.

We also have sonic welding capability, secondary machining, and assembly operations available.

Quality Services

Our quality area includes two (2) full-time ASQC certified technicians on staff, day and night shift, and state-of-the-art automated inspection equipment. Our quality technicians make use of our fully automated Brown and Sharp CMM’s, OGP Smart Scope automated vision system, Nikon Toolmakers Microscope and a full complement of calibrated conventional gauging.

The quality services we provide include first article inspection, capability studies, SPC, full PPAP (including all required flow charts and FMEAs), steel certifications/inspections, and other customer-specific requirements. We ship all molds with an organized Job Transfer Packet, full of all the mold, engineering, and process information you need to be successful for the life of your program.
